The Eagle features an optional built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam.

Projected keyboard light (standard) to the right of the webcam uses a white LED to illuminate the keyboard.

The Eagle features an optional sunlight readable display (not available on some models) which dramatically improves viewability in direct and indirect sunlight. The technology increases outdoor readability without decreasing battery life. In fact, sunlight readability works even when the LCD backlight is turned completely off.

The photo on the right simulates outdoor viewability of the Eagle in comparison to typical laptops.

An optional touchscreen is available for increased productivity (WXGA only).

Touchpad features a sealed design with textured vertical scroll area. Integrated fingerprint reader between the touchpad buttons is standard equipment.

All external ports are protected by rubber covers to prevent dust and moisture ingress. Post covers are captive so they won't get lost when removed.

LCD cover features large areas of rubberized protectors that prevent scrapes and dents to edges and laptop surface. Rounded edge surfaces further protect against cosmetic damage.

Chassis and upper and bottom case are made of magnesium alloy, which is strong and lightweight. The metal case is extremely durable, with less chance of damage from drops than laptops made of plastic.

Standard DVD Super Multi Drive features our Optical Drive Lock which prevents accidental opening of drive tray. Optional second hard drive on RAID models replaces optical drive.

Models with RAID functionality feature mirroring (RAID 1) or striping (RAID 0). A RAID mirror writes to two drives simultaneously for seamless backup, allowing you to continue working even if a hard drive fails.

A RAID 0 stripe set is created by combining two hard drives for increased storage capacity and increased data read/write speeds.

6-cell lithium ion battery provides approximately 4 hours of runtime.

Optional extended life 9-cell battery provides approximately 6 hours of runtime.
