XENUS

Q1. Our products require Win2000 OS. Is the Xenus windows 2000 compatible?

A. Yes! The Xenus can be upgraded to Windows 2000. You will need to upgrade the drivers, which you should be able to find on www.ruggednotebooks.com. Then click the support link. Particular attention should be paid to the Touchscreen and VGA.

Q2. Can I remove the Xenus from the docking station while powered on? Is it possible?

A. The docking station connection port is "hot" and as it says in your manual, units should not be connected or removed from it while the unit is on. To do so risks damaging the computer and it goes without saying that kind of damage is outside any warranty coverage.

Q3. My Xenus tablet PC cannot turn on power on AC adapter or will not take a charge.

A. The problem is due to a Bad power board on the Motherboard. Contact Tech Support for RMA#.

Q4. Xenus lost sound, how do I correct it?

A. Turn the unit off, then remove the FDD/CD-ROM develop kit from the unit. Reboot the unit.

Q5. How come my Xenus cannot recognize the 2nd battery on Windows 2000 or Win98?

A. This is K/B BIOS limitation with Windows 2000. You may take out the 2nd battery and insert it back into its position, then the system will recognize the battery.
